Walking

The countryside around Haltwhistle offers some of the best walking in the UK.  

Information on local walks is available from Haltwhistle Tourist Information Centre (TIC) and  you can buy the ‘Haltwhistle Rings’ - a pack of 22 circular walks compiled by local walkers with a wealth of information about the flora & fauna and the heritage of our area.

Rings packs are available from the TIC, Eden’s Lawn Garage, Haltwhistle Partnership office and many other local outlets.

If you are a visitor to the town you may find it useful to visit the Northumberland Tourism and Hadrian’s Wall websites for more extensive information about what to see and do in and around our area.

Fishing

Some of the best salmon fishing in England.

Weekly fishing passes can be obtained locally from Haltwhistle Anglers or you can book a fishing break to include accommodation.
